Officer - International Payment & Trade Services (IPTS)
JOB PURPOSE
The Officer (IPTS) is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of Trade Finance, Bank Guarantees, Funds Transfer and Treasury transactions according to guidelines, as per internal procedures and policies.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Process accurately transactions, update records within agreed deadlines and report any discrepancy to principal officer and manager and other concerned parties for actions.
- Process Import and Export Letter of Credit and Collection within agreed deadlines.
- Scrutinize Import and Export documents under Letter of Credit within set deadlines.
- Process Import and Export financing.
- Manage inflow and outflow of trade documents/stakeholders' instructions and route to relevant parties for appropriate actions.
- Process issuance of Bank Guarantees.
- Process Inward and Outward Remittances.
- Process Treasury transactions, follow-up of cash flow and update of rates.
- Attend to queries/requests in a timely and accurate manner to meet stakeholders' expectations.
- Ensure data integrity and continuity in the flow of Transaction Processing activities.
- Archive electronically and file physically documents/files as per established procedures.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- BAC +3
- 4 years working experience dealing with Trade Finance, Treasury and Swift operations within the banking sector
COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of Central Bank’s guidelines and other relevant local legislations.
- Good knowledge of KYC & ALM policies and operating procedures.
- Good knowledge of ICC Rules and Regulations on Letter of Credits, Collections, Bank Guarantees, Incoterms
- Well versed with Swift Messages category MT7xx – MT4xx – MT3xx – MT5xx – Pacs.008 and Pacs.009
- Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
